I have a scorch mark on my timber dining room table top.
DOes anyone know the best way to remove it without sanding, if that is possible? The table top is stained but the mark is quite noticeable.

Heat Marks - heat marks can be treated by rubbing gently with extra fine steel wool or by coating the area with salad oil, wiping dry with a clean cloth and following with a polish. quoted from [url]slfurniture[/url] My Kids will coat the table generously with salad oil. Tomato Sauce too
