I do have a gloss white paint (water based) left over from another room, is this suitable or do i need a paint dedicated for use on a bathroom ceiling. Regards, Darren Re: Painting the Bathroom Ceiling 2Nov 14, 2009 10:16 pm Hey Darren, In my limited experience there is a special 'bathroom ceiling white' for that purpose, which has anti moulding chemicals added to help reduce or stop mould. From memory they too come in different flavours such as semi gloss, high gloss etc. I got caught out once on a bathroom reno when I used flat, as there wasn't much lighting in the bathroom, so it was dark and dull. Then again if you have heaps of bright light or downlights with High Gloss you will need sunnies to enter. Humph.
