Hello there people,
We recently bought a lovely home in Darwin. Built in the late 80,s and not a thing done to it since then.
We will soon begin the process of doing the interior (or acutally already have, we have moved the front wall out by one meter to make bedrooms bigger. Hm what a job restoring it all)
While it is the cool (31 degrees) and dry time of year, I want to paint the aluminium fascais and gutters. The house is elevated (upper story house, underneath is open), so I will probably get one of those cherry picker things and go for it.
I would like advice on how to prepare these previously powdercoated items so the paint we use sticks well. Most likely I will use a waterbased paint, but can also read advice in that area too....
because there is no flaking on these items I am not really looking to strip back, just to prepare and re paint.
Any ideas?
thanks
Chris
