All that is left is the cornice. Does anyone know an easy way to remove the paint? There's just no chance of scraping. If you want to take off the paint because it's flaking off then this might help. I got out an air compressor, attached a blower nozzle on the end and pointed in the direction of the cornice. A second later it was like being in a snowglobe. There was paint flying everywhere. Five minutes later and the cornice was completely devoid of paint, except for around the joints, where the plaster or cement made it stronger. All usual safety precautions around compressors apply, particularly with respect to goggles. The paint chips fly off *fast*. I think have one or two stuck in my arm. The photo is not really clear but to me it looks like twist in the cornice.
