Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 May 19, 2009 10:09 pm We have been having issues with the electric oven not heating too well. I took a look today and noticed the element lays on the oven "floor" I found the front had come off a stand that holds the element up so i hitched it back on. However the element has a middle section that still drops to the floor of the oven. I figure it is trying to heat the walls as well as the air? Is this OK? Does anyone have a simpson oven where the element lays on the base of the oven? i searched their parts catalogue to no avail. Re: Our Simpson oven 2May 20, 2009 10:12 am What's the model? Alternatively you could ring a Simpson dealer and ask them or have a look inside one of their showroom ovens Re: Our Simpson oven 3May 21, 2009 1:06 am I fixed it this morning I found that the element had warped over time so I bent it back into shape very carefully and all was good tonight The middle bit held up on it's own Re: Our Simpson oven 4May 21, 2009 6:23 am All's well that ends well Looks liks those green fingers are branching out into other fields .....
