Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 May 16, 2009 10:24 pm Just wondering how good they are?.. Is it expensive to do a whole house minus bedrooms??? We've been in our new house 3 weeks and have mopped the floors a couple of times but CANNOT get it clean. It feels clean but is pretty stained in some areas and grout looks pretty ugly. Am really not happy i think the previous owners were really ferral. Have had to change the water 3 times while mopping as it turns PITCH BLACK so quickly.. ewwk. I'm thinking call in the pro's depending on price. Any advice? Re: Anyone had professional tile/grout cleaning??? 2May 16, 2009 10:29 pm I'm interested in the responses because we are selling our house and I'm feeling too lazy to scrub the floors When we moved in we thought the grout was a dark colour but after I cleaned a bit of it I realised it was actually beige We bought a "steam dream" cleaner and literally went over the whole floor with that (on our hands and knees) with a stiff brush and a bottle of Jiff cleaner. It did the trick but this time (and 2 kids later) I'm not prepared to do that again! Re: Anyone had professional tile/grout cleaning??? 3May 17, 2009 3:19 am I'll let you know on Thursday We have floorboards, but we are getting our 2 showers and bathrooms done because the white tiles are a bit mouldy/discoloured. We have an open for inspection on Saturday so need to get it done.
