http://www.hitachi-powertools.com.au/Su ... ORY=Drills We have one, not mine, so I need to buy one, it’s cordless. I find it painful! You have to make sure the batteries are charged all the time. So, which is the best, cordless or power? Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: I need a drill…. 4Feb 25, 2009 11:42 am you have more freedom with cordless, you can get some with 2 battery packs therefore you have one on the drill and one charging at all times. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. There's no use being a damn fool about it. W.C. Fields Brought Established. This drill is being sold at Bunnings Warehouse for ~$84. It has as much torque as its equivelant Bosch brand that cost at least $165. It also comes with all the tips that you might not even think of (drills and screws). I bought it last week and I'm very happy with it. It even comes with 3 year warranty (or was it a guarantee!! I'm not sure !!) . http://www.ozito.com.au/productinfo.asp ... She can use it to drill (wood or metal) and as a cordless screw driver. I think the one you have recommend is good. I have used one of there hummer drill. The best one I have ever used, and it only retails for $89. I was just making a point that we probably need to ask Mich about how much see want to spend and what she plans on using it for. Michelle?? Have given it a good workout and then some. Still going strong.
Cordless drill is handy and convenient, but for big jobs, go with the cord. Will need hammer function if you're drilling thru brick or concrete. Also, check out max size of drill bit that the drill can take. I think that these days, ability to reverse and variable speed comes standard (?) Chris Re: I need a drill…. 15Feb 25, 2009 7:44 pm ChrisL...I thought a cord drill seemed to have more power!
Thanks so much for that, I’ll go get one with the hammer function, and max size drill bit.
