After reading through these forums it seems my plaster wasn't sealed before it was painted? Any ideas of the best way to remove the paint to seal it? Or can I just get the easier bits off and paint sealer binder over the top? If 1950’s or older, it could be that you have Kalsomine, and modern oil or latex paints just will not stick to it, and “Sealer/ Binders “ seem to mostly promise what they can’t deliver.
