Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 Mar 28, 2022 12:00 pm Hi there, I have bought my first house after renting all my life in an apartment where someone else maintained the house for me. So please excuse my lack of basic understanding of things relating to houses. I have been looking for where my main stormwater drain is - the pipe that all the smaller stormwater drains (like gutter downspouts) connect to and eventually sends it to the street stormwater pipe. One of my downspouts went underground so I dug it to see where it connected and found that it was connected to a big pipe (about 6 inches or 16cm-17cm). The direction of the pipe is also pointed towards the street. Is this the main stormwater pipe I am looking for? Since it is a fairly large pipe, I am guessing it is the one that sends water to the street after it collects water from various places around my house.
