I've used sikaflex 11fc. Works a treat. If you do some googling you can find it relatively cheap (18 bucks or so per 600ml sausage instead of the Bunnings 25 bucks per 300ml cartridge).
That bitumen impregnated tape has a removable top section, tear that off (should come out easy) and fill the gap with the sikaflex. If there is too much of a void in places you can use foam gap filler rod before you sikaflex it.
