Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 Jan 13, 2021 8:42 am Hi guys, Recently we’ve noticed that we’re getting a lot of ants in one room of our home, upon inspection I found them coming through three slots in the window frame, I also went outside and sprayed the window, came back inside and saw water inside on the sill, can anyone explain if this is normal? All windows have these slots in them but I didn’t think they’d leak? If it’s normal can I seal these? It's for any water that makes it's way into the sill to drain out from. Depending on the window manufacturer there might be gaskets that can be fitted in there that allow water out and not back in. Ants will not cross the chalk line. You can google "chalk line ants" you will see a lot of results. It was a volume builder.
