My first step before calling a plumber would be to hire a moisture meter, I think Kennards have them, and see if you can identify a leak source. Do you have any flexi hoses? If so, you need to immediately examine them. These won't be (or at least shouldn't be) in the walls, they will be in the kitchen cabinet. Locating leaks is often difficult because the pipes are inside walls and investigation is required. Sometimes the source can be the roof. Regardless, I would still get 3 quotes or at least an agreed hourly rate up front. Also steer well clear of Jims and Metropolitan Plumbng. Thank you for these tips! I'll check if there are any.
