Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Jul 26, 2020 11:05 am Hi all, Just looking for some suggestions on how I can insulate under an existing pergola roof? In summer the heat and humility is unbelievable and it stops my family and I sitting out under it in the warmer months, and also at present is leaking quite badly when it rains - heavy or not for whatever reason, and the clear strips that are spaced out over the area are cracked and have some small holes as they are old allow a fair bit of weather through also. I am considering re-roofing with normal colorbond roof sheets and maybe somehow insulate under that as the cost of the all in one insulated colorbond roof sheets are very, very expensive. Would love to hear from a fellow member who may have re-roofed and insulated underneath with great success in keeping the cost and the heat down, but also achieved a pleasing look to the eye when finished. Alternatively If anyone has re-roofed using a all in one roof sheet already insulated at a reasonable cost or can suggest a business that sells already insulated roofing that doesn't cost an arm an a leg could please PM me I'd be very grateful. Thanks Geoff Re: Insulated outdoor roofing 2Jul 26, 2020 11:20 am Hi Geoff. What is the pergola made of? Any chance you can post a picture? There is a few ways you could go but would help if there were a few more details.
