Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Jul 20, 2020 4:20 pm Hi all just after some guidance please. I have a pergola that has been standing for 10+ years and would like to add bistro blinds or something similar to make the space more protected from rain and wind. It has a colorbond/laserlite roof that is sloped towards the house on 2 of 3 sides, and so that rain runs into the house gutters. The first company I had out to quote said straight out that they can't do anything if the frame is not level. Is this usually the case? What the best way to fix this? Thanks! 1) This side is tricky due to the roof line, and also a slope on the pergola frame (beige bit) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ 2) You can see the general slope here. The side on the right is ok, but not this side and the opposite side. Yeah the sales lady basically said they couldn’t do anything unless it was even/level, and I had to either get a handyman to do something or do it myself and then they could come back and quote/install. I’m wondering whether that standard practice or whether she was just being lazy. Re: Bistro Blinds for Pergola - Roof Not Level 4Jul 22, 2020 8:54 pm get another company out. My parents place had them fitted around 15 years ago and I'm pretty sure they were just taperd to suit the angle. recently just had some of them replaced with ziptrack styles blinds and again no problem. Every "flat" pergola is going to have some kind of fall on it anyway. Re: Bistro Blinds for Pergola - Roof Not Level 5Jul 23, 2020 1:50 pm Jonnii98 get another company out.
