Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Jun 11, 2020 9:32 am Hi guys, We currently have white pebbles that connect our walkway from the concrete driveway to the exposed aggregate patio and front door, it's unsightly and is also holding water at the house and needs regrading. We're considering a ground-level deck (where the white pebbles are) and a garden (where the dark pebbles are) to connect these walkways. The slope and height of the concrete driveway and patio are different, and my preference would be that the deck at the front door would be the same height as the tile capping. Some questions being a low ground level deck: 1. Best way to attach deck to the house - have read ledger boards are not always the best option. 2. Would you have a step on each of the concrete ends to deal with different heights? 3. Can the deck sit flush with the from door tile cap? How does this work with termite regulations? Thank you for any help, I haven't considered any plans at this stage. We live on the Sunshine Coast, QLD.
