Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Sep 25, 2019 4:31 pm Hi everyone, I would appreciate some assistance regarding the following. I have had an insulated pergola installed recently. Electrical wiring and cutouts for downlights have been done. I have been advised by the electrician that unlike normal gyprock ceilings which have sufficient gaps for a plug base to be connected to the wiring, in this case, due to lack of space he will have to hardwire it to the downlight. Is this right? In addition, he mentioned that the fan installation might not be suitable for such insulated ceilings due to the weight of the fan. Is there a maximum weight these versiclad panels can take and has anyone installed fans on such ceilings? Thank you in advance.
