Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Dec 31, 2016 3:09 pm I've not long bought a home that is quite new though the agent told me that the previous owner was a bit of a home handyman and did some of the electrical installations himself - particularly one of the outdoor power outlets. I'm wondering if someone can advise on whether he's followed all the appropriate codes in installing the outdoor power point. It appears to be a proper outdoor GPO though the power source is drawn from another outdoor GPO around the corner a few metres away and connected via grey 25mm conduit with a couple of elbow joints. He's got the conduit butted right up against the eves and running down the internal corner of the besser block wall. Should the conduit be some distance from the eves and internal corners? I have a sparky here in a few weeks - should this be corrected (if indeed it's wrong) when he's here? Electrical Engineer... Don't hold that against me... And keen owner builder... Mainly the building part!! My door tends to rub against the frame during winter and I'm looking to fix it so it closes smoothly. Looking online on Youtube I'm seeing methods to fix the alignment and… 0 692 the conduit would need to be undamaged regardless of what network is in play. The conduit needs to be able to have fibre run through it. NBN and Opticomm are just… 4 2882 |
