So I have finally found a house. Fully renovated. But it has the usual timber fence. Grew and weathered but in good shape.
Any ideas/suggestions for sprucing it up? Besides painting. Looking at something to do that doesn't involve asking the neighbours.
House is a cottage with great landscaped gardens. Lawn area and a courtyard entertaining area. Think improving the fence would improve the look of the outdoor area.

I would just paint it. Easily done with a sprayer and you don't have to ask the neighbours.

Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity.
