Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Jul 21, 2008 8:47 pm Hi Guys
I have a small paved front area and have small dining room where there is a sliding door that goes out to this paved area. I was thinking getting wooden decks to be at the same level of flooring as in the dining room and putting sails on top to weatherproof the area and have a indoor/outdoor area kinda. Was also thinking of putting a bbq or a woodfire oven, cheap lounges, a small plasma or lcd, and so forth. What are your thoughts or what would you guys do? Do you know if there are automatic sails that i can have roll up when not needed? Please be as creative as you want. Re: Paved outdoor area... what would you do? PICS included 2Jul 21, 2008 9:11 pm Wow you really have a blank canvas to work with.
I'd be worried about putting a plasma out there in the weather... Timber decking sounds great then you could put in the wood fire and an outdoor lounge - very nice relaxing place - lots of pots with colour in them. Paula Re: Paved outdoor area... what would you do? PICS included 3Jul 21, 2008 9:20 pm well, i wanted to also have a weatherproof room you see for when the weather isnt nice or when we are sleeping or whatever i can have the tarp or whatever just roll out and cover the whole area. So leave it as a semi indoor outdoor area where i can entertain guests during summer and cook dinner sometimes in the open air or have bbqs while watching tv or the footy or whatever.
what would you do? Re: Paved outdoor area... what would you do? PICS included 4Jul 21, 2008 9:27 pm perhaps it would help if you posted the dimensions of the area; it is hard to tell from photos, even in the photos you posted the area looks bigger in some than others
I presume you wouldn't want the clothesline under cover - or maybe you would if it is a retractable cover that you only have up sometimes? I have seen small TV's in sheltered outdoor areas but it would have to be totally weatherproof at all times, unless the TV had some sort of cover of its own? Would it also be risky haveing an expensive TV outside re possiblilty of it getting stolen? And possibly not covered by insurance if it was stolen from an outside area? I really would like to have that as a chill out area too where i can go hang watch some tv, have a bbq use as an outdoor kitchen/ entertaining area. hey there! 😊 so, it’s kinda common for standard drawer depths to be around 500mm since most cabinets use this size to fit the usual runners… 3 20906 CDC Housing Code 3 When to apply Floor Area external face of wall vs Gross Floor Area internal face of wall.
