Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Aug 09, 2015 9:42 pm We have 4 neighbours. Along the back of our block we have two neighbours, the back boundary they share is about in the middle of our block. To the right the block is on the same level as ours, but on the left the block sits much lower than ours. Assuming they build a single level home their roof guttering should be about level with our block. The top of their retaining wall is also level with our block. We have just found out that both blocks have been bought by the same building company so instead of dealing with 4 people over fencing (when the time comes) we will only have to deal with 3. Out of curiosity, as the left fence makes no difference to them as it will be above their house, can we reasonably expect them to contribute to the fence? The drop down to their block would be a real hazard for us only. Re: Curious About Fencing 3Aug 10, 2015 8:47 am goody59 You still need a boundary fence and they are still required to pay half. Are you on the side of a mountain? That is a lot of block elevation difference between you and them. Thank you for your reply. The area we are in is called Little Mountain which should give you a clue. Our subdivision is heading towards the crest of the 'mountain' and while most of the blocks are gently sloping (we have a 2m fall across our block) for some reason the developers have cut into the bottom right hand side of the mountain and developed a dozen or so flat blocks which we will be looking down onto. Need to remove glass panel out of concrete without wrecking the glass to get the spa room in, any recommendations on how to do that.
