Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Jan 26, 2015 9:29 am Hi All, I'm new to this forum so I'll be able to tap into this wealth of knowledge and someday repay the community. I recently purchased a Gerni Pressure washer and was hosing down the deck to remove a lot of the algae buildup. Future plan is to do a thorough clean with deck + scrub and re-oil as the deck does look tired. I've got two questions I hope the forum can help out with: 1) I believe the deck is some sort of pine, but would anyone have a good idea of what it may be? 2) Whilst hosing, there's 1 plank that deteriorated far more than the others (see pictures). Anyone know why this may be the case? I have some left-over sections that I may be able to replace it with, but if not I'd like to buy a new piece from bunnings. You can get deck cleaning products or you can make your own using a Napisan solution. Works well on decks to prepare for oiling/staining.
