Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Sep 06, 2014 2:28 pm Hi, I'm starting an outdoor kitchen project, but trying to decide on what to use for the cabinet doors. So just checking on what others have done. The plan is to use limestone blocks for the walls and a cream polished exposed aggregate concrete top. I'll be using a hooded built in BBQ (around 900 mm wide) and put in a small sink on one side. I'll have a 500 mm wide top on one side of the BBQ and 1200 on the other side which will have the sink. The depth is around 800mm. My thoughts are to use composite wood/decking to make 5 doors and fascia on the front, but not 100% sure on how it will look. I want something that is low maintenance, can handle a little heat, and doesn't cost too much. Below is the area that is being used for the kitchen. Ordered the blocks so will get the brickwork done and will have a play to see what looks the best for the doors. Only issue I have is that I don't want the hinges to be on the outside and I'm not sure that kitchen hinges would be up to the weight or outdoors. Anyone know of a source of hidden hinges that are suitable for outdoors and can take 15 kg weight. DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair That laser level looks lovely!
