Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Mar 10, 2014 12:50 pm Hello, I have a question about a permit that's confusing, but I wanted to seek an expert. When i built my house (last year) the original plan showed my house was 3 metres from the fence, in a revised plan the permit showed that my house was 3.5 metres away from the fence. The actual reality is that my house is 5 metres away from my fence and backs onto council land. Now im deck building I want to apply for a permit, am i restricted to applying for a deck that only extends 3.5 metres from my house? Does council look at previous floorplans when making determinations? BTW i have manually surveyed and the 3.5 metre mark is spot on.
