Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Feb 01, 2014 5:37 pm Hey Guys We have a 3.8m x 2.99m (10-11 m2) Alfresco closed from 3 sides with brick wall.. Quite small.. Part of the house.. It's base is the slab itself.. We have got a 3 piece IKEA outdoor furniture to put there (small table + 2 chairs).. How can we decorate the slab? Our options as I see are 1) Decking - Is that possible on a slab base? How much will it cost for that kind of area? DIY or a handyman (I am not a tools person but might have to learn).. 2) Outdoor Rug - Just to cover the area.. we have found nice size outdoor rugs of size 3.04m x 2.28m . Bit small but shall cover much of the area I guess to give it some look.. Will it look wierd with size not matching? 3) Tiles - What will be the cost of it including labour approx? I guess non slip tiles.. 4) Liquid Limestone - What will be the cost of it including labour approx? 5) Leave the slab concrete colour as is - This option I am thinking will look quite plain.. 6) Any other options I might be missing.. Thanks Re: What to do with Alfresco? 3Feb 01, 2014 8:19 pm kyton What about colour sealing the slab? We have a poolhouse and had the main floor pigmented black and then colour sealed black. Still looks good 2yrs on. Not sure what that is.. What does it mean? What will be the cost ? Re: What to do with Alfresco? 4Feb 02, 2014 10:32 am Black paint / sealer. Go to your local hardware and look at the colour ranges. Can't tell you prices - ours was done by the builder. You roll it onto clean dry concrete and let it cure. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: What to do with Alfresco? 5Feb 03, 2014 1:57 pm Thanks.. Will check it out.. Or if u can show bunnings / masters link that would be great Any idea what will others cost? Or putting a rug for year 1-2 will be decent enough.. and then save up and go other options 1-2 years later?
