Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Sep 27, 2013 5:37 pm Hello, we are thinking of doing a bench which would have on one side the sink and on the other the barbecue. The main purpose is to have a sink outside which is helpful, and we thought why not increase the size a bit to have also space for barbecue on the other side... However the price would be a bit more that we want.. Anyone got some suggestions on how else we could do it? I think an outdoor sink is a must right? Thanks Re: Outdoor sink + barbecue - anyone got suggestions? 2Sep 27, 2013 6:00 pm We have an outdoor sink near the BBQ at our current house and I love it. We rinse all the greasy BBQ stuff out there before taking them inside to wash in the kitchen. We also use the sink to wash the dog bowls etc. Custom downslope build Build thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61873 Blog http://www.buildingroyalmanor.blogspot.com.au Re: Outdoor sink + barbecue - anyone got suggestions? 3Sep 27, 2013 6:16 pm cool thanks this is why we are thinking of having an outdoor sink. Did you build it or is it a simple sink? The barbecue is not such an issue, since we can get a free standing and place it anywhere! It's handy coz we have the cupboards underneath for storage. In fact, we even put an old microwave we had inside the cabinet. Lol. It's come in handy a few times. The whole unit is under our pergola so it stays dry. I inherited the unit from my old job - they were getting rid of it. So I got the guys to drop it off at my place. We then had it plumbed in. We have a freestanding BBQ that sits beside it. The sink near the BBQ works really well. It's essentially an outdoor kitchen. In fact, we have asked the builder to put provisions for water and waste on our alfresco balcony so we can eventually install a sink outside. I don't think I could do without one now.
