Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Sep 16, 2013 1:46 pm I have a bit of a different situation here. We have a rental property in Brisbane and we installed Laserlite 2000 on the pergola roof in 2002. It has now apparently been damaged and has a few holes in it. Besides large hail, I can't see how this was done (I suspect the tenants were trying to dislodge objects they had thrown on the roof) . I recently replaced an old fibreglass pergola roof at my home that was 30 years old, it was brittle and cloudy due to UV, but it was still quite intact. The pergola needs about 10 sheets 4.5m long for a total replacement. For my home pergola I replaced the fibreglass with Suntuff. It cost less than $900 in materials for a similar sized roof. I just received a quote to do the rental for $2400! I looked at the Bunnings web site and it says that Suntuff in anything longer than 3.6m is special order. Does anyone know how long it takes to have it delivered? I will be in Brisbane for three weeks. The first week I will inspect the damage and see what I need to do. At the price of that quote I could buy all the tools required and do it myself in a day. The complicating factor is that I'm in Canada. The $2400 is in line with the $139 I was recently charged to inspect and replace batteries in the two fire alarms! Can anyone recommend a good/affordable retaining wall and fence builder that I can get a quote from located in Sydney? 8 45791 Just be careful with building stability during construction, that is when the structure may be weakened, refer to your engineering drawings for stability methodology. 1 7223 Last year I had a gas leak at my house. 3 days later, I have about 1 sqm of my exposed aggregate paving broken up. I am not sure how to go about getting it repaired… 0 10410 |
