Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Aug 23, 2013 1:41 pm Hey Guys, We currently have an alfresco that is tiled (cement slab underneath) and we are looking to extend from the alfresco out and down the side of the house, we want it to flow without a step up or step down, wanting to know what our options are - what will work the best - I was thinking of trying to get the a slab done and tile it the same but worried it might not cross smoothly, would a timber deck be a better option?? Also what is more cost effective? Pro's & Con's, it's our first house we built with a house & land package so they wouldn't extend it in the first place Thanks guys! Re: Alfresco extension! Not sure where you are - but if you have a pest strip etc you may need to extend it. And - if you can't match tiles - maybe try a pattern that looks like you meant to make it different ... Hello!
