Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Jul 01, 2013 1:00 pm Hi all, We are about to demo our home which is filled with termites, we took down our garden shed on the weekend and a lovely framed picture stored in there was all but just the picture! My question is do we need to treat the soil pre build of the new home? We are getting protection for the new home of course which is from my understanding perimeter and pipe protection with steel and the frame will be treated, I was going to enquire with the company as to the need for soil treatment too but figure they will say yes either way. As termites live in the soil they will still be there and we don't want to risk a brand new home, we'd also like some outdoor timber decking. Just want to get a general opinion so we aren't wasting too much $$ on it. Thanks in advance! Ideally you would engage a landscaper to give you some insight what they may need in the space to make your vision come to life… 1 13638 Yes, neither is termite damage that is not covered by your house insurance. 3 6581 4 1864 |
