Ferntree Gully Mower Power Unit 7 1841-1845 Ferntree Gully Rd, Ferntree Gully, VIC (Just opposite Mountain Gate Shops) We just got our new mower from there, they were cheaper than Bunnings for the same model Victa, easy going, eplained exactly the difference between all of the models, filled it with petrol and the 4 stroke oil for us and gave us a free petrol tin too! So for any Melbournians in the easten subs needing a mower or brushcutter, go have a look!! Built Porter Davis "Dromana" 2007. Wanna try and talk me out of buying it? I've currently got a little electric Victa $140 approx and can thoroughly recommend it. It's just that making allowance for the cord is becoming too time consuming - I want to whizz! And on the nature strip it's a pain keeping the cord out of the manure the local dogs so graciously deposit on my lawn. Re: Need a new Lawn Mower? 8Aug 04, 2008 10:52 am Petrol mowers are so yesterday. Do yourself a favour and get an Enviromower.
Fantastic machine. No petrol, no fumes, no spark plugs to change, no heat or greasy parts. Start and stop whenever you want. Too easy. Re: Need a new Lawn Mower? 11Aug 05, 2008 9:49 am Been to Bunnings. Kicked tyres (wheels actually). Checked blades and generally tried to look knowledgeable to myself.
I was smitten by the little black (and red) number from ECO City. She felt so good in my hands. She liked me too, I could tell. We were made for each other. What fun we'd have under the bushes! She was cute and sassy whereas the Environmower was, well, matronly! But for once I let my head rule my heart and I'm sadly going to buy the Environmower. Pros Good oil from salesperson being: grunt (same as petrol mower) good heavy duty battery 80 mins (?) running time compared to 45 mins Choice choice Victa made Salesperson didn't badmouth the ECO City and indeed said ultimately it all depended on what I felt happy with. And then there was the reference from d@n. Also the price was reduced to $440 because there's a new model coming. Dilemma is whether to wait for the new, no doubt improved, model and pay a little more? But the joy, the anticipation has all gone. Instead of nimbly crafting my exquisite (in my opinion) lawn with a zippy little thing I'll be pushing this great wheelbarrow-type contraption! Depressed. You'll get used to it, you may even come to love it. Paula Re: Need a new Lawn Mower? 14Aug 05, 2008 10:23 am neri Good oil from salesperson being: grunt (same as petrol mower) Actually I wouldn't class it with the same grunt as a petrol mower. But for your average size block, it does the job just as well. Also comes with a mulching blade and you can get an attachment to do edges. Nifty idea. Quote: Victa made It's victa bought. Originally the machine was designed and engineered by a couple of blokes in melbourne and built in china (where else!) Enjoy the mower. Cutting grass has never been so much fun. Perhaps you should let your husband make the tool decisions in future. Re: Need a new Lawn Mower? 18Aug 05, 2008 3:35 pm Quote: Sort of ... can't see Al as a new-age-sensitive-guy! Can't understand why I would have thought you were female. Mowerpower near Blackburn and FTG roads rocks. Small shop, very helpful. the leaves that are now underground go yellow, the tips that poke through photosynthesise and have chlorophyll, same reason they grow rhubarb in the dark. 5 2912 Ask yourself if the insurance company will be aware of the Reno. 4 4877 6 43109 |
