Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Aug 13, 2012 6:12 pm Hi, I wondered if someone could advise me on outdoor gas points. We have a bbq that runs off mains gas (from our old house) but our new house has no undercover outdoor area so we need a solution for the following 5 years until we do a big renovation. Can you install gas points in the exterior of the house with little or no cover (roofing)? Or should I just buy a new bbq and run it off a gas bottle for 5 years? The old bbq isn't anything special but would be fine to use for the next 5 years or so. If it makes any difference to regulations, we live in Perth WA and have a double brick house. Your knowledge would be very helpful - thanks! In my old house I had it in a large undercover area and the plumber told me it was illegal. Just wondered if he was correct. Thank you. Don't know the rules in WA, also with an existing build a problem might arise as to the running of the line externally. Hopefully someone with knowledge of relevance to your situation will post !!
