Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Mar 31, 2012 11:57 am Hi All, We have had half our house bagged, the remainder to be finished in the coming weeks.. It is an orange brick 70's home with a lovely new extension out the back. Our guttering in woodland grey, and the windows trims are white. Sooooo we are thinking about doing half strength woodland grey for the paint, anyone done anything similar? I don't want to go to light grey as i feel it looks to 'hospital-ish' if that makes any sense?! Just so scared it will be too dark and same-ish? I have been checking out google and pinterest - but am hoping someone here may have some advice for me, or has done something similar?? Many, many thanks Re: How to pick a color for external brick bagging paint???? 2Mar 31, 2012 12:12 pm Hi teamhork, We're also going to bag our house and are undecided as to the colour - the guy at the paint shop suggested to always go with the colorbond colours - half, quarter or double strength, but I don't know whether it would leave the house looking all the same. We've painted the veranda posts and trim half/double paperbark which is the colour of our fascia and eaves and it looks nice, but then to add a similar colour on the brickwork might be too much.........decisions, decisions !! I would love to see apicture of yous once it's done Owner Building on 1800sqm Sanity Intact so far Locked up March 2012 Re: How to pick a color for external brick bagging paint???? 3Mar 31, 2012 12:18 pm Hello Lynnyjane and teamhork, if you have any new display villages nearby you could go and check out thir colours, even if they don't have the colours you're looking at, at least you might find out if you prefer the lighter or darker colour contrast. Also have a look at some of the photo galleries of the bigger project builders (metr!con, masterton, wisdom etc) as they have photos of a lot of different facades.
