Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Mar 30, 2012 12:21 pm Gday all, Yesterday, after cleaning with nappy san the day before, i oiled our deck for the first time. It had previously been done by the builders. I used one of the wool head of a stick type applicator, and on checking today discovered i must have put too much on. There are areas of creamy-white stuff in various areas, im assuming ive put too much on/not spread it enough. Would i be correct? I found the applicator a bit of a pain, a brush, although SOOOO much slower seems to give better finish. What can i do now? I scratched at it a bit and it seems to come off a bit. I'm about to put down some Merbau. Is it necessary to oil underneath the boards before laying? 0 1932 Hi, as per the subject. Does anyone have any recommendations for the best value decking oil (Bunning is close to where I live) for a treated pine deck? Thanks 0 10971 0 9808 |
