Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Nov 09, 2011 2:24 pm I wish to replace our old round outdoor table & chairs for a long square table & chairs. Was originally thinking of stools to store under the table when not in use, but think chairs are more practical. Do you know anywhere that sells some nice outdoor settings in Melbourne, besides the 'normal' big name stores. Thought I would ask before I go off on a goose chase THANKS Jazzie Life is like a lolly, suck it and see Re: Looking for outdoor settings ... 2Nov 09, 2011 3:25 pm Hello Jazzie, I bought this outdoor set up for such a great price off these guys. Hello gourou thanks so much for that link, I love the setting! I've just emailed the seller to see if they are going to be getting any more We just raced out & measured up & it should be ok, especially if the seats can be tucked under the table when not in use .. if they aren't restocking, at least I have an idea what's out there . Keeping my fingers crossed tho thanks again Jazz Life is like a lolly, suck it and see Re: Looking for outdoor settings ... 5Nov 09, 2011 8:21 pm thegourou20 I've got the same setting in a 4 seater with square table in chocolate colour. I also bought a 1 x 2 and 2 x 1 lounge with glass topped coffee table to match. The cushion covers are a bit pale so I'm going to dye them a deep taupe as that will be better with the black sand around here. Today I saw a single recliner lounge at Bunnings for $250 that is a perfect match. The dining and lounge settings came via an eBay seller although I went to their depot to inspect before buying and they sold direct for $250 discount. Both settings were well boxed and they loaded them into the trailer with their forklift, was good being boxed because at the time I was living in a rental while this house was being built and I didn't unpack those boxes until I moved. Re: Looking for outdoor settings ... 6Nov 10, 2011 7:08 am I did little bit of research last night & found a place near me (Melbourne) so going on weekend to check out their settings. Found one the same, only table glass is black It's $50 dearer but they deliver for free if you order before November At least I can see it before I buy from either place to make sure it will fit/work in the area I have. It's not a huge area so it's all about size I'm on a mission now thanks again Jazz Life is like a lolly, suck it and see Re: Looking for outdoor settings ... 7Nov 10, 2011 7:52 am Jazzie you might find as I did that some tables have clear glass, some frosted and some tinted although they are all toughened glass. Then the wicker comes in brown or black. I preferred frosted glass in the dining table but the coffee table only came with clear glass but that's Ok because the wicker is totally visible. What I like best is that the footstools stash under the chairs when not being used, thus saving space until you want to use them either as a footstool or side table if sitting back from the table. Good luck and hope you find one a setting to suit. Re: Looking for outdoor settings ... 8Nov 10, 2011 8:24 am I only recently bought it but geee it is my most satisfying buy off ebay so far. I was really impressed with the packaging and design of the set too. It is like they thought of everything. Things like others mentioned everything can be tucked under the table and with the cover on top when not in use it saves it from getting dirty. Also, the table by itself just fits through a standard door. Mine came with a clear glass (may be I would have preferred tinted). If that helps, delivery costed me $195 (melbourne western suburbs). Re: Looking for outdoor settings ... 9Nov 10, 2011 1:40 pm Thanks again everyone for more helpful info I'm in Melbourne's western suburbs too gourou here is the link to this other place: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2012-XAVIER- ... 2c60441419 Jazz Life is like a lolly, suck it and see Re: Looking for outdoor settings ... 10Nov 12, 2011 8:39 pm Went to look (and a sit) on the wicker outdoor dining table setting that I found near us (altho I think I would have purchased from the Q'ld ebayer). I am in two minds now Hubbie didn't think much of the comfort factor Thought the back cushion was too thin, says he could feel the back of the chair We have a small pug cross who loses hair all year round & I have this horrible thought of his hair getting into the wicker Ok, now I'm being picky I think I will keep on the lookout a bit longer ... it's a big decision really, so want to make sure I get the right one Jazzie Life is like a lolly, suck it and see Re: Looking for outdoor settings ... 11Nov 16, 2011 12:35 pm Totally went away from the wicker Bought a wooden setting on Sunday at HN. Not sure how to post the pic but I love it. It's Berkeley "Sovereign" 9 setting ... has two pieces of faux granite down the middle, looks really lovely. Chairs have smart cushions on it in a dark taupe type colour & are very very comfy high backs. Won't be delivered until just before Xmas which will make us sand & stain the decking Cost $2499 but on sale $2000. I think I have paid not a bad price & it's the one that I loved most of all so happy with my purchase. Tried to look on HN website for it to see what it looks like but could not find it. :-l Post a pic when it will be sitting nice and proud on the deck.
