Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Nov 04, 2011 8:40 pm We are slowly getting around to doing our backyard. We have around 2000sqm that we have to landscape so it is a slow long process. The pool was done when we first moved in but we have only this year designed the pool house and finally arranged a local builder to start. View from the kids' fort. I think this is what I am most excited about - being able to open all the blinds across the back and not worry about sticky beaks LOL. View from deck looking towards park. Plus DH and one of our employees have been working hard for three days doing retaining walls / 2m high colorbond fences to keep out gawkers along the drain line that runs parallel with our property. "Think" I have picked my island bench selections - just have to lock them in and hopefully a trip to Sydney this weekend will choose the furniture to go in the pool house. Roof trusses and tiles next.... Some things are worth waiting for. It is looking gorgeous but very dirty. Pool fence is hopefully going to be completed today and the concrete slab is meant to be colour sealed this afternoon - but since these were jobs meant to be done last week I am not betting my children on it LOL. Just when I thought I had spec'd everything I want you go and show your pool house. Doh...... now if my money tree would hurry up and bear fruit.... Truely amazing.... love it. Ciao Mark Our Poolhouse - Sneak Peeks, almost finished. 18Feb 11, 2012 6:32 am Thank you everyone. Yep we added a 1m deep pantry to the rear of the house. This did three jobs - houses the fridge (photo below), brings the rear brick wall to wrap around which will protect the villa wood walls plus kitchenette and finally (and the main reason) we will never have to deflate any pool floats again LOL. We are installing a wall hung compressor and the kids floats / boats etc will all live in there. The wall colour was a bit of a "OMG WHAT HAVE I DONE!!" moment when the painter started. But it has grown on us and now we love it.
