Re: OZtrail Deluxe Gazebo 3x3m 2Oct 20, 2011 6:53 am They work OK but ours blew over in the wind and two of the legs bent so it's unusable now. I haven't got around to trying to fix it yet. I just use a tarp and extendible poles now which covers a much larger area and the guy ropes have springs on them to keep tension. Re: OZtrail Deluxe Gazebo 3x3m 3Oct 21, 2011 5:40 am I've read somewhere that pegging them out with something a bit stronger might help, even a normal guy ropes will hold them down. I am thinking of buying a gazebo because it's easy to assemble and pack up, it's easy to be carried anywhere and it seems much easier than tarps. It was when I reversed back and the 6cm antenna on the car caught the edge and bent eh cross piece that hurt. If its for camping and it won't be up all the time they are great. You'll probably get some tent pegs with it to go through the feet but I would get some bigger gauge ones as the standard ones are very thin and short. Also a set of guy ropes for the really windy times will be good but the tent pegs through the feet are suitable for most of the times we've had ours up. If you have a hunt around you can some different brands that have extra walls and things available. I as going to get one of them to replace the one I broke but Wifey beat me to it and I have one ready to go for the next trip. Also so long as its the collapsible one. Don;t bother if you have to put all of the poles together every time. Then tarps are much easier. |
