Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Oct 06, 2011 9:23 am Thinking of choosing a modern dark grey - Woodland Grey or Monument Colorbond fencing for a blonde brick apartment Can anyone can help with actual appearance of colours of woodland grey or monument for colorbond fencing. I have heard some tints of green or blue? Or suggestions? Or have actual photos as examples?? Not sure how to post my photo? Re: Colorbond fence - Woodland Grey or Monument 2Oct 06, 2011 4:05 pm monument is very dark. VERY DARK. Not black but it does have some brown and green it in I think. From memory Wood land grey is charcoal/gun metal grey color. You can go to Bunnings or a Stratco outlet and view the colors there. Most Computer Monitors don't give a good representation of color. Re: Colorbond fence - Woodland Grey or Monument 4Oct 06, 2011 4:33 pm Hi we have used woodland grey which is a charcoal tone with hits of green. Our posts and trim are black. We have used this all aound our property except for the front and its looks fantastic - gives a much more upmarket look. I am happy to attach a photo but cant work out how to do this. If you know just pm me and give me some instructions. Re: Colorbond fence - Woodland Grey or Monument 5Oct 11, 2011 11:54 am Anyone have any photos of their fence in either colour especially if you have used it for your side access fence/gates. Re: Colorbond fence - Woodland Grey or Monument 7Oct 11, 2011 12:42 pm Thanks for your reply. I did go to Bunnings for colour samples. My initial preferred colour is monument, like you said a deep charcoal grey but against the blonde brickwork it does look really dark. Woodland Grey I do like but am a bit hesitant about the green tinge that does show in some light. I also like Jasper but think that it might be too light. A couple of others have preferred Woodland Grey, so it looks like that might be it! Re: Colorbond fence - Woodland Grey or Monument 8Oct 23, 2011 9:04 pm Sorry if I'm too late with this reply… But if you are at all worried about having the green tinge, do NOT go with Woodland Grey. We had our fence done in that, and seriously, it looks more green than grey now that it's up. After spending all that money, I'm regretting our choice. Re: Colorbond fence - Woodland Grey or Monument 9Oct 24, 2011 11:40 am Thanks Petunia for your photos, your fence looks great, really suits your house with the black trims. Kal, if you had another choice now, after not being happy with Woodland Grey, what colour would you go for? Your comment has got me thinking twice. Re: Colorbond fence - Woodland Grey or Monument 10Oct 25, 2011 9:32 am I'm looking at trim colours at the moment too. The colours I had it narrowed down to from card samples were as follows: Notre Dame Charcoal Monument Ironstone However, once I saw the actual material sample it was a lot different to the card (paper) sample, I found the Monument very dark. I think I might be looking for a colour that is abit more gray/blue then you but my only point is see the colour on an actual sample of the material it is going on and the right paint finish. (satin/gloss etc) My designer did say Monument was very popular colour at the moment and around our neighbourhood there is alot of the Woodland Grey. Re: Colorbond fence - Woodland Grey or Monument 11Oct 25, 2011 12:08 pm Hi there, done some research to discover that the colourbond fencing colour range is actually diff than the normal colour range http://www.colorbondcolours.com/home/re ... cing-range The last colour GREY RIDGE would be perfect. As for normal colourbond colours. We have Monument and love it. Its more like a really deep dark blue/grey. Woodland grey does tend to throw off a tint of green but against some colours its fine. We have a monument roof with cream bricks and the monument looks great. As the last poster said Monument is not a colourbond fencing colour and is very expensive to get done. I have been looking at the grey ridge to maybe complement the monument....are they the right choice together I'm still not sure???? BLOG: thehousewebuilt2010.blogspot.com (And are still building!) Re: Colorbond fence - Woodland Grey or Monument 13Nov 11, 2012 4:01 pm I love monument.... and think it would look great with cream bricks, personally. We had Woodland Grey trims on our previous house - looked very much on the greener side to me (obviously the colours against it affect it). For trims or fences or sheds (possibly even roofs), I'm very much a monument/dark charcoal fan . Good luck with what you come up with. HHCIB Re: Colorbond fence - Woodland Grey or Monument 14Nov 13, 2012 9:09 am As I said prev, we have monument gutters garage and front doors and trims. My hubby panicked a bit when we recently built a carport off the side of our house to cover our boat, campervan and trailer. When I picked the colours, DH eyes looked worried as it was all Monument including the paint and roof. He was really hoping I was going to use Colourbond Dune cause its 'safe' But all done, hubby is so happy and has no probs with me using the dark colours for the rest of the home. http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb303/Rudolf24/7719F763-D3D1-4006-BF38-D87C976DF087-624-0000005EB3364138.jpg http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb303/Rudolf24/FF6E89AB-CF79-4F0C-8AF0-87C4041ED632-15739-00000DC555150A67.jpg http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb303/Rudolf24/97EA75BE-5D08-445D-B525-5FC9EC43916A-624-0000005EA0DD4DEB.jpg As you can see, Monument goes with dark bricks, cream bricks and esp looks great with timber. Make sure you post pics of your finished project. Good luck Forrester 43sq We have our keys (3/6/11) Now it's time to decorate (that's the fun part.lol) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=37598 Your house roof does not show rusting other than some surface rust on the flashings. In my opinion you dont need to replace or paint the roof other than treat surface rust… 1 10209 Hi all, Our boundary perimeter fences need replacing (3 sides). From everyone's experience, what would you install? Timber lapped and capped OR colorbond? Thank you. 0 2880 You should pressure clean your roof first and make sure the paint you buy also is anti mould. 4 18565 |
