Browse Forums Outdoor Living Re: Sealing tiles with Crommelin 2Sep 12, 2011 3:15 pm Agent_009 Hi everyone, Getting my travertine pool coping and tiles laid next week and have received a good quote for Dry Treat sealing...approx. $1200 for two coats (52 square metres). That price includes someone coming out and doing the application. I spoke to my tiler this morning and he asked if I wanted him to do the sealing. I told him we had someone pencilled in but out of curiosity asked what product he used and what price. He said he uses a product called Crommelin He said he would apply three coats for $350. He highly recommended this sealer and said it retains the original look of the tile (which we want - we don't want a water based look). We are looking to cut costs whereever we can and that's a massive price difference. I've only heard good things about Dry Treat but this is the first time I've heard of Crommelin. Anyone heard of it? Used it? Any feedback greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks! Stick with Dry-Treat over Crommelin. There is always a reason for things being cheaper and it usually means quality.
