Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Jul 15, 2011 1:55 pm Hi We have an alfresco that is overlooked by neighbors. It feels like they're looking at us all the time! After doing all we can, planting fast growing hedges, trees, etc. we still feel overlooked. If we had blinds in our alfresco we would have a bit more privacy. We live in a cold climate where it rains quite a bit. Not excessive but winter is wet. There are blinds on the market that apparently block out 80% of rain but then we could choose PVC and block out all of the rain. How are these in summer though - hot? If you have the dark grey PVC does it block out much light? Which should we choose? Any suggestions please! Re: Alfresco blinds - PVC or mesh? 2Jul 15, 2011 5:09 pm Why blinds? I have installed painted metal and timber shutters in alfresco areas with great success. The look of shutters is much more... sophisticated than pvc anything. In the wet, close them up, in the dry - open them up and let the light in. With the right angle, the light will come in and your neighbours wont see a thing. Windows are pathways to the soul of your home. Visit Aesthetic Blinds Brisbane for Stylish Window Coverings MATE!!! I've checked their website and it's a 90% match at least.
