Not sure which section this best belongs in.
One end of our house is located close to a boundary fence, and our neighbours have a below ground pool, which is a few metres away from the fence. So, our main bedroom is about 4-5 metres away from their pool. A few weeks ago, I was having a bath, and could hear a strange steady rumbling noise/vibration. Since then, whenever it is quiet, this constant noise can be heard at that end of the house. Its as though it's coming through the ground. With everything very quiet and still, it can be quite obtrusive and annoying.
After the first day or two, I guessed that the neighbours had bought a kreepy krauly or similar thing for maintaining their pool. I haven't checked or asked them about it, but I'm pretty sure that's what it is. Does anyone have any experiences with this type of thing? I'm thinking of speaking to them, but not sure what can be done about it. It may be a bit rude to expect them to stop using it. Maybe we can ask them to limit the time it is on? I've never had a pool. Can anyone tell me about these devices, and offer any advice?
