Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Apr 09, 2011 12:13 pm Hi all! We were considering getting someone to install a gas fireplace and build a wall surround around it, since we have a natural gas line to the side of the house where we intend to have it just outside a pergola. After doing the sums, this could be costly as I was looking at a rendered or tiled finished surround. And then I came across this,,, Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ It's a Coonara Fire Pit that can be used with natural gas. I am considering this because it takes out all the extra costs thats need for a wall gas heater to look 'extra nice' and when not in use, you get a cover for it so it can double as a table. I like the look of the stainless steel, gives a modern edge. We would consider having this under the pergola roof that will be approx. 9 foot high and that has open sides. Does that sound okay for ventilation? The only worry is the beautiful glass can get a bit blackened on the inside after some use so I was wondering if anyone has this and if the glass is removable for cleaning or anything else I should be aware of? I really like this one.
