Vanderlay was hard at work over X-mas! :cry:

Thanks to Charlsey for the bobcat

Thanks to Dazza for the compressor, framing gun, and the really fancy level thingy seen in the tripod in the second pic!!! Saved hours of mucking aroung with levels!!

And also to my old man for both advice and hard yakka getting those foundations in!!!

Nope!! Its not that much fun :lol:

And far too hot this last week - didnt do any work on it the last couple of 41 deg days!!

We hope to knock over most of the remainder on the weekend, so more pics next week!

Ta! Its about 55m2 total I think....We have plenty of room out that side so figured we might as well use the space!

I wish my husband could also do our decking after hand over....

might be worth it to go to our local library and find some books on how to do decking..hehe.

I dont think you'd would find our deck construction method in a book!! It's a little un-conventional :shock:

Never!!.....as far as I'm concerned manual labour is a spanish tennis player and I'm not a fan of his! :lol:

BBQ coming right up for all.....when we finish!!!

Though we have had nachos on the finished bit before we've done a BBQ.....how un-australian :evil:

And using the joists to hang them into the holes to then be concreted!

Its not that unconventional, actually fairly common. Its difficult sometimes when the deck is so close to the ground. From memory 90x90 F7 just spans 1800mm as a bearer so its used fairly regulary when there isn't space for a traditional size bearer.
