Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Mar 10, 2011 6:31 pm So my partner and I are at the stage of building where we can now obtain quotes for Patios... Something I thought wouldn't be so hard and luckily we only live 5 minutes away from our site so arranging time and dates would be simple.... I thought wrong. The Patio we require, we know is going to set us back around $12,000, you would think any company may jump at the chance to provide us with their service, however it's been an absolut nightmare! We signed up for a quote at the Home expo Sunday with ******** Patios, they were meant to do an onsite quote this morning at 11am. No show, we called them, and they couldn't get their act together, said they would call this afternoon and again nothing so that did it for us. **** had a nice display at their shop so we signed for quote with them too, gave our plans, specs etc.. waited for three months for them to call and again nothing, even after calling them twice to see what the update was. We even were considering a shed with them too. After calling numerous calls to various places to arrange onsite quotes we have so far come back with two within the next week... Out of all the companies that service Perth I thought we would have more luck. Its a little concerning too that if they can't even show up or call to quote this job, what good would they be at actually providing the patio!!! This is more of a rant, but if anyone knows of a good Patio place I would love to know... and if you know one to stear clear of please also provide details! -edited by Support Team Member- Re: Patios... How hard could it be to get a quote!!! 2Mar 10, 2011 6:51 pm Not sure if this is any help, but try Stratco - http://www.stratco.com.au. We got a custom made DIY one from there and DH built it - don't have any pics on the computer yet, but it's this style: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ They can do supply and install or supply only... like I said, we had supply only and DH took all the measurements himself, but the end product has come up really well. Hope that helps! Built the Coral Homes Hamilton 252 - moved in 20/10/2010 and loving it!! https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=27215 Re: Patios... How hard could it be to get a quote!!! 3Mar 10, 2011 7:26 pm Depending where in Perth you are building, give these guys a call. http://andersonoutdoor.com.au/Patios%20&%20Carports.html Our neighbours had them build a shed / garage and speak highly of them. I am going to see them in Mandurah on Monday to suss out a deal on a shed. I have emailed them for some specs and have had no problems with contact. Cheers Neil Re: Patios... How hard could it be to get a quote!!! 5Apr 04, 2011 8:53 pm From experience of being in a trade. There has been a trend for trades to do quoting on Fridays. Lots of guys I know are nowdoing small quick jobs, finishing touches and quoting on Fridays and leaving early. Also I've found that most won't tell you if they are too busy. Tell them when you want it. They might already have too much work booked and not want the job. This will mean you'll have to wait for them to cleasr some jobs or find someone else. Re: Patios...
