Our written quote for pergola barely lists a few things (with fancy language) and it doesn't have any plans or sketches attached. Would be nice to be able to really picture where the posts would be, what's the angle or shape of the roof etc. Is it just with us, or do you only get to see what you are buying once you sign and pay the deposit? Or maybe you need to wait until it's built My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ... Re: New Outdoor Structures - When do you get the plans? 2Feb 11, 2011 12:48 pm They probably won't do up sketches / plans until you sign with them - that way they don't have to pay for plans if you decide not to proceed. I know when we had a double garage built in the back of one of our rentals we didn't get any diagrams until we paid the deposit and signed the contract. Then they provided the drawings to send into council. Some things are worth waiting for. You should be able to get a picture or diagram but not working plans until after you pay. Thanks for letting us know.
