Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Jan 17, 2011 11:41 pm Hey guys, I just got my house built and I want to build a pergola on to the side of it. I was thinking of building a gable coming straight out from the back door and having flat roof either side of it. However since this is my first house and I dont have much experience building I dont know where to begin, or more to the point how to do the gable and its guttering... Can anyone point me in the right direction please, as I dont want to have to pay someone to do this for me due to being on a tight budget at the moment. As you can see from these photos the side of the house i want to have the flat roof coming off are different lengths. The back door I want the gable coming off.
