Browse Forums Outdoor Living 1 Nov 30, 2010 11:59 pm I'm in a bit of a dilemma every summer because my backyard gets literally no shade now from anything after I renovated my backyard and knocked down all the trees. My daughter always complains about how she's going to die of skin cancer when she's 25 whenever she goes for a swim, so I'm planning to get two shade sails installed. I'm really unsure about the colour because I have red and cream pavement. My daughter likes the idea of red sails, but I'm not too sure; will it wash people out too much? I like the red and cream shade sail combination Re: Opinions for shade sail colour? 8Apr 05, 2011 12:27 pm I think the combination of the colours is the best option, it will be more suited to the existing colour scheme and design of your backyard plus it looks more modern.
Re: Opinions for shade sail colour? 9Oct 19, 2011 3:06 pm We are putting a retractable awning in, we are considering either "Shifting Gray" "Sandy Beige" or "Vanilla" we do want quite a bit of light to come through though and it is waterproof. I am assuming you are somewhere where it gets quite hot so maybe a darker colour could be the way to go, I saw some really nice "Raspberry" coloured ones, I love the colour, have a look at your local restaurants to see what colours they have. Lighter ones do show up bird droppings sometimes. You could even look at a light evergreen or something.. Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7156 Hi - thanks for your reply.
