Can't find any information on that Re: Where I can buy the decking block ? 4Nov 26, 2010 10:41 am I can't find any mention of them on the net either. Why do you want to do it with these instead of stirrups set into concrete? It's not much more difficult at all and is much more secure. Re: Where I can buy the decking block ? 5Nov 27, 2010 2:09 am i havent seen those used in Australia before.. Not sure how good they would be might cause a bit of bounce in the deck. I'd stick to using post stirrups and digging an old fashioned hole with concrete. Re: Where I can buy the decking block ? 6Jan 31, 2012 1:27 pm Hi there, a company in Brisbane called Evolve Composites is the only manufacturer of these type of decking blocks, called - Handi Blocks in Australia. The Handi Block product is great and I have seen it installed on several jobs, its ideal for smaller decks and raised garden pathways. The interesting thing is the Handi Block product is super light a fraction of normal concrete so they are apparently really easy to lug around. They are also cheaper than steel posts or brackets and the timber slots straight into them. I believe the manufacturer only sells through wholesale chains, however I would say contact them directly and see where they are available. Hi, as per the subject. Does anyone have any recommendations for the best value decking oil (Bunning is close to where I live) for a treated pine deck? Thanks 0 10970 Use a product like Equisol's Vitalise to clean the deck then coat with a penetrating timber oil. It will look 10 years younger and add value to your home.
