It's made out of ash which has a light pine kinda colour. It now has two coats of British Jarrah stain. But I may go darker, maybe a coat of merbu coloured stain on top. Best I saw Merbau was about $3.50l/m. I was more concerned about building a quality subfloor.
I figured the $2500 could be better spent elsewhere.
