To Bar or not to Bar

We are slowly converting our full length verandah at the rear of our house to our entertainment area.. We have our outdoor setting, bbq and have just taken delivery of our spa..

My next step is to install a small bar near the spa.. I need ideas on a couple of things to make the decision of what kind of bar to put in -

a) size
b) type / materials
c) design
d) placement

Main requirement is to fit a small bar fridge behind.. Any ideas on the above would be greatly appreciated..

Wherever you put it - I've always had a rule of NO GLASSWARE - near water.
Be it bottles or glasses.
It's all way to easy to have a breakage and clear glass is then invisible in water.

Good spot IMO.

Water behind for tap hookup.
Electricity from (bathroom?) through wall
Drain for emptying ice etc

As long as it is not to deep it would be fine there!

That's what I thought too Matt - has all the setup already there - even electricial plug (will probably need another though).. As you said can't be too deep - that's why I thought I'd throw the thread open to the forum for ideas - I'm not particularly handy otherwise I would attempt to build a bar myself.. have been to a couple of shops but there is really not alot around that I can find.

Thought maybe someone with some Paintshop skills could mock up a couple of different bar styles in there to try and visualise.. **wink wink ** Laughing
