Whilst it's a decent size, it isn't big enough for BBQ, dining setting, lounge furniture and bar. Unless we made everything really small. The "room" still isn't furnished - we need to find just the right lounge furniture. I hate most of the mass-produced stuff I can find, and anything I do like is way out of our budget, so I'm waiting and hoping eBay helps me out. So, this is our extended alfresco entertaining area: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The planters double as seating and work a treat when we have a crowd. We'll eventually build some sort of roof over the bar (we're thinking thatched balinese-style... ). Meanwhile, we just use a portable gazebo thingie if the weather looks iffy. The alfresco room becomes the dance floor for parties, and in winter or in bad weather, we move the table and chairs in there under cover. This is looking back towards the alfresco room. We originally had it in the alfresco room, but got sick of fat spattering on the pavers and smoke stains up the brick wall, so it's now out in the open.
