We have a full length rear verandah that we are seriously considering making into an enclosed room (well at least one end of it) for more space. Does this sort of thing require permission from council to undertake? I have enough people in my family to handle the work itself, just not sure of implications down the track if it does not get approval (resale etc).

Browse Forums Outdoor Living Re: Enclosing section of rear verandah 2Aug 31, 2010 2:55 pm Sorry cant help with permit thing, but we just had the Home Show in Melbourne (and I went thanks to free tickets from Homeone) and saw this Company who does the cafe blinds, you know the plastic blinds, in a retractable system like the flyscreens that retract into small unit at the side, great for enclosing alfresco's and closing them off to wind etc, might be something you can use for the Verandah instead of something more permanent.
